CRAFT CHEMISTRY SUMMER CATALOG | Craft Chemistry in Syracuse, NY
Promotional piece designed for local craft store, Craft Chemistry. The store features handmade work of local artists, so I wanted the piece to have a sort of homemade feel. Using a “lift-the-flap” construction and funky patterns I created a visually appealing and informative piece showcasing the store’s featured artists for summer. The covers were marble painted, and the finished piece hand-bound with twine.
FALL FASHION GUIDE | The Daily Orange Newspaper
Two spreads from the Syracuse student run newspaper’s fall fashion guide. The articles discussed the season’s emphasis on the accessories and small details that made an outfit. Using this as inspiration I pulled out detail shots and incorporated fabric swatches to emphasize the focus on elements and not just the finished product.

ALEXIA COMPETITION POSTER | S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications
Poster used to promote the Alexia photojouralism weekend at the Newhouse School at Syracuse University which included workshops and photo judging. The competition looks at photojournalist’s efforts photographing other countries with the philosophy that documenting other places and hardships can bring us together and promote peace. In this light I wanted to include multiple people’s work, and bring elements to indicate the raw, and honest goal of the photographs.
FOOTBALL GUIDE | The Daily Orange Newspaper
Select spreads from the Syracuse student run newspaper’s fall football guide. As the designer I was responsible for the concept and layout of the entire 24 page special section which was inserted into that day’s newspaper. I tied the piece together by consistently using bars with rounded corners, reminiscent of football field goal posts.

ART DECO EXHIBIT POSTER | typography class assignment
This poster was created for a fictional museum exhibit on the movement of art deco. Using only typography indicative of the time period I created a pattern which lines the back of the piece. I enlarged one element of the pattern and framed key exhibit information within it while implementing bold colors typical of the movement.
